Donation & Refund Policy

Shaiya Obsession is a non-commercial, community-run private server operated by volunteers. Donations are voluntary contributions that help cover hosting, infrastructure, and development costs. As a thank-you, donors receive Donation Points to spend in-game.
The Short Version
Donations are non-refundable by default. Limited exceptions for delivery failures and unauthorized payments are described below. If you have a problem, please contact us before opening a payment dispute — almost every honest concern can be resolved directly.
A Few Things to Know
When you donate to Shaiya Obsession through PayPal, Stripe, or another payment method, here’s what your contribution is:
- It’s a voluntary contribution that helps us keep the server online. As a thank-you, you receive Donation Points — an in-game reward currency you can spend on in-game cosmetics and perks.
- Donation Points and the in-game items they unlock exist only inside the game. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged outside the game.
- Once a donation is processed, the funds go toward ongoing hosting and infrastructure costs — which is why we are unable to reverse it once the corresponding Donation Points have been credited.
- If something feels off about a donation, please reach out to us first. Almost every honest concern is faster (and friendlier) to sort out directly than through a payment dispute.
What Is Not Refundable
- Donation Points already credited to an account (delivery completes the contribution).
- Donation Points or items consumed in-game, lost to enchanting/gambling/RNG mechanics, or destroyed by player action.
- Buyer’s remorse or change of mind after Donation Points have been credited.
- Donations on accounts later suspended for rule violations — the contribution remains forfeit.
- Items lost to compromised, shared, or hacked accounts when the compromise was not the server’s fault.
- Routine maintenance, content updates, or game-balance adjustments. Donation Points themselves are preserved across normal updates.
- Inability to play due to your hardware, internet connection, antivirus, or operating system.
Delivery Failures (Re-Credit)
If our system fails to deliver the Donation Points associated with your contribution, we will make it right:
- Contact us within 7 days of the transaction via the Contact page with your transaction ID and account name.
- We’ll verify the missing delivery against our payment and game logs.
- If the failure is on our side, we’ll re-credit the Donation Points at no additional cost. The original donation is honored by completing delivery, rather than refunded.
Unauthorized Payments
If a payment was made from your account without your authorization — for example, a compromised PayPal account, a stolen card, or a minor using a parent’s payment method — please contact us as soon as possible with proof. We handle these case by case:
- If reported before Donation Points have been used in-game, we will work with you and your payment provider to resolve the situation, which may include reversing the contribution.
- If reported after the Donation Points have been spent in-game, options are more limited. We will still review the situation in good faith and respond to legitimate documentation from cardholders or payment providers.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We strongly prefer to resolve issues directly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute after Donation Points have been delivered — without first contacting us — will be treated as a bad-faith dispute and has the following consequences:
- Permanent suspension of the disputing account and any other accounts linked by IP, email, or payment identity.
- Removal of any Donation Points and Donation-Point-purchased items associated with the disputed contribution.
- Permanent removal from the donation system and from re-registering on the server.
- We will respond to the dispute with our payment, login, and delivery records (transaction ID, account, IP, time of delivery, time spent in-game after delivery, and the donor’s acceptance of this policy at checkout).
- Disputes filed after the corresponding Donation Points have been used in-game are challenged with the same evidence package; the more in-game activity occurred between delivery and the dispute, the stronger our response.
If you genuinely have a problem with a donation, contact us first. Talking to us is faster than a chargeback and far more likely to fix the actual issue.

- Include: transaction ID, date, amount, account name, character name, and a clear description of the issue.
- Allow up to 7 business days for review. We respond to every legitimate inquiry.
